In times of uncertainty, it’s good to remember we actually have a great deal of control over our health, by the choices we make. We are advised to wash our hands, keep our distance, and stay home. But we can do so much more!

5 Simple Steps To Good Health

•   Wake up and find something to be grateful for, every day. Call someone you love and tell them so. Hug those close to you.

•   Wash your hands a lot. Keep them away from your face.

•   Eat good food and drink fresh, clean water

•   Give yourself space, to stretch and move freely. Turn off the news and go for a walk in the sunshine. Breathe deep, in and out. Let things go.

•   Just before you fall asleep, think of those you love. Send that love out into the Universe.

What Can I Do Now?

In stressful times, hold your ground, and maintain your health by going back to what I call the Five Non-Negotiables: sleep, stress, diet, mindset, and movement.

Sleep well, go deep. It’s a choice you make, for your own health. Avoid stress by choosing love, not fear. It’s the strongest medicine there is. Eat well, move often, and don’t be afraid.

Helping Others Helps Your Own Health

Look for the angels in your life, the ones who are there for you. Look for those times where you can help someone else. Even if you’re home alone, you can pray and/or meditate, holding others up in hope, seeing them healthy and strong, offering support that transcends all boundaries of time and space.

Give and Receive Unconditional Love, The Strongest Medicine

In these difficult weeks, more of our clients are connecting with us online, to support their health journeys. One of my clients from the city, Rafe, came online for a consult the other day.

Rafe wanted to get a better understanding of some lifestyle practices I’d recommended. He also wanted my feedback on his recently-completed genetic testing. I was able to help him focus on those areas where his genes needed support to work more effectively.

“You see? Here’s where you can support your nervous system and strengthen your immune system at the same time.”

“I really can’t do this by myself,” he confessed, “I feel so cut off from everybody.”

“Why not join our online HeartMath classes? See how love directly affects every cell in your body. It’s amazingly effective, and you’ll feel more connected.”

My dog, Leica, came up just then resting her head on my lap. She wanted my attention. I soothed her gently, to let her know we’d play in a minute, when the session was over. Raf noticed Leica.

“Hey, maybe I should get a dog,” he mused.

“That’s a great idea,” I encouraged him. “There are so many animals that need rescuing.”

“I think I do too,” he said, thoughtfully.

Choose Love

It always works out to our benefit, when we choose to love. I’ve always loved having dogs around. They teach us to love, because they’re so good at unconditional love.

To put love into practice as part of your health journey, consider joining one of our online HeartMath classes. Stay calm and remember, your health is in your hands. Do what you can, with love. For with love, you can do so much!
